Le Consort brings together four young musicians who share a common sensibility and enthusiasm. Created at the instigation of Théotime Langlois de Swarte and Justin Taylor, the ensemble explores repertories as varied as they are complementary. Eighteenth-century instrumental music lies at the heart of their project. In June 2017, Le Consort won First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Loire Valley International Early Music Competition. Le Consort is also deeply involved with vocal music. The instrumentalists work closely with the mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik. Their work together has resulted in a recording of French cantatas for Alpha Classics.
Le Consort will release this summer a new disc devoted to the Complete Trio Sonatas of Jean-François Dandrieu.
